Dr. Allen Sher and Kiwanis representatives were at Claxton
on February 7th for a fourth grade spelling contest. Students
prepared for the competition over the past two months. Each class determined a
team for the competition.
Fourth grade classes showed exemplary behavior throughout the competition. In the end, Ms. Greenelsh’s class took the victory, with Mrs. Wells and Mrs. Jackson’s class hot on their heels.
Kiwanis representatives present included former Asheville mayor Russ Martin and Karen Korp. Many thanks to these community members for supporting our students and school
I would like to thank Catherine Campbell, Stephanie Greene, Beth Mahan, and Julie Willard for acting as judges and scorekeepers!
